La precipitación en la Isla de la Juventud

Abstract

Se estudia la distribución espacial y temporal de la precipitación en la Isla de la Juventud. La existencia de dos períodos definidos, uno seco y otro húmedo, queda bien establecida. Dos máximos, en junio y septiembre, caracterizan el régimen anual en casi toda la Isla. Se encuentran, además, máximos y mínimos nocturnos en la precipitación, relacionados con sistemas característicos de la Isla. The spatial and temporal distribution of precipitation on the Isla de la Juventud is studied. The existence of two defined periods, one dry and the other wet, is well established. Two maximums, in June and September, characterize the annual regime in almost all the Island. They are, in addition, maximums and night minimums in the precipitation, related to characteristic systems of the Island.
